CAS 0

CAS 0 represents the interface between the University and SUEL and is the first step of the commercialisation process. The CAS 0 process is initiated by the Academic completing a Commercial Opportunities Disclosure (COD) form on-line via the Research Office website.

To facilitate the exchange of information between the University and SUEL, CAS 0 meetings are held fortnightly between The Research Office (Chair of the CAS 0), The Office of Corporate Partnerships and SUEL. The purpose of the CAS 0 meetings is to achieve an information exchange that builds a picture of the opportunity available with regards to its ownership and development as well as to verify the information contained within the original COD. This additional data assists SUEL’s Business Exploitation Managers (BEMs) to process the COD efficiently.
